Mens Highland Wear Hosiery and Footwear is available as part of the Cameron Ross Highland Wear hire range available from Sanders Menswear & Hirewear of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and includes Hose (i.e. socks), Ghillie Brogues, and Skean Dhu's (a black dagger) to complement your Highland Wear ensemble with.

Highland Wear Hose (i.e. Socks)...
Socks, or traditionally 'hose', are provided with your Highland wear hirewear outfit and are finished off with flashes in blue, green, black, or red to match the colour of your kilt.
Highland Wear socks supplied are usually cream, but if you have chosen the more contemporary looking Black or Grey Spirit kilt tartans then we'll provide more suitable black Highland wear socks instead.
As for the size of the hose, they are the same as your shoes.

Ghillie Brogues...
Ghillie brogues are traditional Highland Wear shoes and are available as part of your Highland Wear hirewear ensemble from the Cameron Ross Highland Wear range available for hire at Sanders Menswear & Hirewear.
The original Highlander shoe was little more than a piece of deerskin or cowhide wrapped around each foot. Held on with strips of leather, they had holes cut in them to let water out.
We think you'll be pleased to hear that today's Ghillie brogues are an altogether more comfortable affair thankfully!
A tried and tested method of tying your brogues is to start out just as you would with an ordinary pair of lace-up shoes. After the initial knot, instead of tying bows, twist the laces three times. Then take a strand in each hand and move them in opposite directions to wrap laces twice around the calf. From there, bring the laces to the front and tie them in a conventional bow. Simple!

Highland Wear Fitting appointments are advisable and recommended especially if it involves more than one person as is often the case for hirewear, in order to ensure that you get the priority service and undivided attention that you deserve. Due to an increased demand for our hirewear range, fitting appointments are also indeed a requirement for Saturday fittings.
Don't forget that our three Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire based menswear stores in the East Midlands are open 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday (closed Wednesday afternoons), and we can assure you of a warm welcome.
